Biocides and HVAC systems This letter was sent to people in the HVAC mold remediation business and is not available on the web from the EPA. I put it here because there are some good quotes in it. *On the fourth paragraph please note the EPA conceders the spraying of EPA listed products in an improper manner and the use of pesticides not for use in HVAC systems "unlawful". The second page speaks of people calling about the use of pesticides in the air ducts. Do not forget that the EPA states there are NO products approved for use in porous materials! This letter is only about use on cleaned metal. If any product is used on porous material ( insulation) they are using that product improperly (unlawful* - see above-). Mold resources
